Commercial
In property, “commercial” describes premises intended for retail or service activity, such as shops, shopping centres, showrooms and ground-floor units.
What the visual needs to explain
The image should clarify access, shopfront, signage, circulation, furniture scale and the relationship with the street. Depending on the brief, it may market a unit, present a fit-out concept or support a decision.
Useful inputs include unit plans, sections, any tenant brand guide, finishes, accessibility constraints and surrounding context. People and merchandise should remain consistent with the intended use.
What it is not
A commercial visual is neither a construction drawing nor an administrative approval. Signage, terraces or fit-outs shown in an image may still require consent from the landlord, co-owners or relevant authorities.
Practical questions
Should a brand be shown?
Only when its use is authorised and the concept approved; otherwise a fictional or neutral identity avoids implying a commitment.
Which viewpoint is most useful?
A pedestrian viewpoint explains street visibility, while an interior view clarifies customer flow and atmosphere.
