V-Ray
V-Ray is a family of rendering software developed by Chaos and integrated with several 3D applications to calculate light, materials and images.
Rendering and settings
In an architectural scene, the renderer interprets geometry, cameras, lights, textures and material properties. Sampling, noise, depth of field and colour management affect both computation and results.
A photographic reference and delivery target support informed trade-offs. Materials should use credible scale and colour profiles should be tracked through to final files.
Limits
A physically based renderer does not automatically make a scene accurate. Incorrect geometry, inconsistent lighting or excessive post-production remain possible, so approved source material still needs comparison.
Practical questions
Why is a render noisy?
Noise depends on the scene and sampling settings among other factors; affected areas need diagnosis rather than a universal value.
Does V-Ray model the project?
No. It primarily renders a scene prepared in a compatible host application.
